In May of
1950, a police
precinct was established in Miami to provide a station house for
African American policemen and a courtroom for African American
judges in which to adjudicate African American defendants. This
building is unique as there is no other known structure in the nation
that was designed, devoted to and operated as a separate station
house and municipal court for Blacks. Today, the Black Police Precinct and
Courthouse Museum is dedicated to preserving the

approving the city’s lease of city property for a convention
headquarter hotel adjacent to the Miami Beach Convention Center on
Monday, January 25, 2016. The proposed 100 percent privately funded
800-room headquarter hotel adjacent to the convention center is
crucial to the success of the renovation of the Miami Beach
Convention Center in attracting business and especially highly
coveted citywide conventions. The GMCVB encourages voters on Miami
Beach to VOTE

Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food
Festival (SOBEWFF) presented by FOOD & WINE will showcase

highlights of the four-day food and wine festival are wine

The GMCVB has launched Requests for Qualifications (RFQs),
seeking to identify prospective partner agencies to support the
GMCVB’s marketing efforts, including an Advertising, Marketing
& Digital Solutions Agency, a Web Development Agency, and a
